Dear Members,

You are all invited to attend the ITBA National Seminar entitled Action Plan 2019 ‘Return on Investment for Irish Breeders’ on Monday 11th February in Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny at 2pm. This is a must attend seminar and breeders who wish to have a particular topic raised or question asked on the day should email sodwyer@itba.ie in the strictest confidence.

The seminar will open with an overview of the current issues facing breeders and will include two short presentation delivered by John Lynam economist who will give an analysis of the 2018 flat sales and Sasha Kerins, Grant Thornton who will discuss tax incentives that might be available for breeders.

These presentations will be followed by a panel discussion based on the current issues facing breeders and possible solutions designed to help those breeders compete in a very competitive market. The panellists listed below offer a wide variety of experience and their chairman Derek Iceton will endeavour to devise an action plan for 2019 which will assist breeders at all levels of the market going forward.

Impact of Brexit

Following the panel discussion, the Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs will address the

seminar on BREXIT with particular reference to bloodstock . This will involve an overview by

the minister and a Q & A session with Leo Powell.

There will be a dinner available after the seminar for attendees.
