ITBA are delighted collaborate with HRI to hold a number of one-day regional Industry First Aid courses.
This will be a one day course - Subjects covered will include :
- Concussion
- Performing CPR
- Accessing and Use of an Defibrillator
- Injury management and shock (To include bleeding injury, musculoskeletal injury.)
- What to do in the event of ( Falls, horse kicks, etc )
The course will be accredited by Dr. Jennifer Pugh IHRB Senior Medical Officer & Order of Malta, with certs provided upon completion.
Fully funded course by HRI H&S in conjunction with the ITBA.

- 24th May - Tipperary
- 6th June - Limerick

The guide has been broken down into the order of subject areas listed below:
Insurance implications; Health and safety legislation in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland; Specific responsibilities of industry staff members and general responsibilities of all employees; Safety statements and the principles of risk management; Policies and SOPs, with examples and samples of such documents; Induction and training programmes, including health safety and well-being programmes and employee welfare; Emergency planning and procedures; Pandemic response planning; Accident reporting and general record keeping.
