31st October 2024 - Goffs
Save the date for ITBA’s Seminar, From Paddock to Parliament: an exciting look at the cross section of Bloodstock, Politics and Agriculture on Thursday 31st October, 2024, held at Goffs, Kildare Paddocks, Kill, Co Kildare.
Host Jane Mangan will speak with an exciting panel of Minister Pippa Hackett, Senator Fiona O’Loughlin and Nina Carberry, MEP. It will be an excellent opportunity to have such significant figures give an in-depth look into their roles, their political background, and their knowledge and engagement with the thoroughbred industry. The seminar will also highlight the work done by politicians in the thoroughbred industry, and the panels journeys through their respective careers with regards to agriculture and equestrian fields.
This event will afford members a unique opportunity to become acquainted with their political representatives and gain an understanding of the intricacies of national policy and EU legislation, including critical issues such as high health status, transportation, and forthcoming breeding challenges for 2025.
Doors will open at 6:30pm with light refreshments and the panel discussion will commence at 7pm sharp.
There are very important issues facing breeders and we would encourage as many people to attend as possible. Registration is essential, email Hannah at hmarks@itba.ie or call ITBA on 045 877 543. The event is free to attend and all are welcome.
We look forward to welcoming you then.
