New regulations surrounding mandatory ATV training

New regulations surrounding mandatory ATV training and compulsory wearing of a helmet for all users came into effect in 2023. All farmers and any staff members within a workplace who operate a quad bike or ATV must now have undergone certified training and must now wear a helmet when riding a quad.

One day courses are available for experienced users and discounts are available for group rates. Training can be made available to ITBA members, either individually at regional training sites, or across a farm should this be needed.

If any staff are interested in ATV safety courses either at regional sites or on-farm please contact ITBA HQ on 045 877 543 for rates.
