ITBA was delighted to sponsor the Racehorse to Riding Horse Class, which took place on Thursday 11th May in the Main Arena at the 2023 Balmoral Show. As part of its welfare initiatives, ITBA has proudly sponsored this class since 2017.

The sun wasn’t the only thing shining on the day, as each of the competitors were turned out to their best and showed perfectly during the event. The highly contested class was judged by trainer Noel Meade and former NH champion jockey Paul Carberry.

The class was won by Felicity McConnell and the 6yo Mahler gelding, Easy Pleased, who was bred by Brendan Nolan. General Principle, ridden by Seainin Mahon took second place. Best turned out was awarded to Mcquinn, ridden and previously trained by Suzy Barkley.
